Soy island. My pride and joy. With our native apples and natural rivers and unnatural waterfalls. The most blessed place to be during these trying times, and a place I've spent more hours than I'd like to admit. A place I've hosted birthday parties and dates and play-dates. A place I feel comforted and nostalgic and safe. Animal Crossing: New Leaf saw me through some of the rockiest stages of my recovery and it's only fitting that New Horizons is comforting me now.
My current villagers are a mix of found-via-Nook-Miles and forced-in-with-Amiibo. Although I experienced some radical luck when I stumbled upon my dearly beloved Melba early on in the game! Melba was my main hoe back in my New Leaf town and I'm glad to have her on Soy, too. Freckles is an unexpected love of mine, as are Diana and Roscoe. The latter are the reigning King and Queen of Soy and they live up on the cliffs in their palaces of black and white. Bob was an Amiibo force-in because I simply cannot live without the purple fool. The rest of Soy's lineup includes Nate, Coco, Julian, Keaton and Winnie.
And a little introduction to my baby Luna! She loves tending her flowers, crafting items with shells, catching butterflies and wearing a beret. Her title, Teary-Eyed Flower, accurately represents the two of us, I feel. She is the sweetest little dot to ever exist. Honestly would die for the little animated bish.
Luna's bedroom is my favourite room in the house. It's all pastel and soft and quirky, with her tarot set up and giant shell bed. As you can see I also have a distinct love of the sweetheart tank shirt, which Luna wears in some colour variation 9 days out of 10.
The living room has gone through the most drastic changes since the game began. It was pretty and pastel up until recently, when I decided it wasn't E d G y enough. It's now a somewhat chaotic mix of colours and themes and styles, but I like it a lot.
Luna's final room is a newly renovated bathroom which used to actually be a kitchen. Where she will now get her meals from is not my concern (she's constantly being fed fruit to uproot trees with anyways) as she now has a beautiful bath house. It feels unfinished as I'd like more decor on the walls but I'm incredibly happy with the progress!
Two new little zones on Soy! I spent an age last week crafting and renovating and terraforming. I have an overwhelming preference for pink, purple, yellow and white flowers so those are the only you'll catch blooming on Soy territory. (Okay so maybe some are blue and black and orange too.) But red? Get outta here. My beekeeping zone has to be one of the most 'finished' areas of Soy, as I'm constantly changing things when I come across new ideas or items or DIYS.
And finally, here we have Aphrodite island! I wanted a little section for the goddess on Soy to mirror the altar I have in the real world. I used two items from the shell DIY set, surrounded them with white and pink flowers and planted some peach trees. I also popped a peach on a white stool and placed a white candle in the corner.
Tumblr and Instagram are huge places of inspiration for my landscaping endevours, but I quite like when things come together purely through my own imagination and these always tend to be my favourite spots on Soy. Next up? A fun-fayre inspired front yard/beach for Bob, a farmers market by Resident Services and a renovation of Freckles' new island spot.

Ah your island is gorgeous!! I've reached the stage where I walk past a zone and end up completely transforming it in a night haha, it's so much fun to just let your imagination run free, isn't it?! x
